Poster Art
The Ūd Gallery created a series of artwork, “She Is A New Rhythm, A New Vision,” in response to the September 2022 uprising in Iran, known as “Woman, Life, Freedom Movement."
This grassroots movement tirelessly champions the cause of women's rights, fearlessly combats oppression and injustice.
The artwork serves as a powerful symbol of hope and a call to action, urging all who lay eyes upon it to join the noble fight for equality and freedom.

Logo Design
Ūd Gallery has designed a logo, pro bono, for the WomanLifeFreedom at UCSF group, to support their mission of raising awareness about the uprising in Iran.

Symbolism
The figure emerges from broken circles, breaking free from the grip of control and confinement that have held her back.
Like the mythical bird Simorgh, she spreads her wings and rises towards a new dawn, triumphing over injustice. In Persian mythology, the Simorgh is a powerful bird that represents transformation and rebirth.
Her hair — formed out of triangles colored in the shades of the Iranian flag — symbolizes her turmoil and strength, cutting through obstacles with unwavering determination.
With bare feet firmly planted, she draws on her inner reservoir of strength to create a world of her own making.
In her hand, she holds a heart with growing leaves that have been awakened by the calls of freedom. She nourishes and sisters all the suffering hearts that have endured and leads them to a new dawn.
